A home in Bluefield, Va. is severely damaged following an afternoon fire Tuesday.
No one was home when the blaze broke out shortly before 3 p.m. at 104 North Lane.
Bluefield, Va. Fire Chief Jim Hardy says the fire may have started in the bathroom.
J.D. Taylor lives next door and called 911.
He says, "we just heard an explosion, kinda shook the ground a little bit. Smoke just started pouring out of the cracks in the chimney, out of the back. We ran around the back to see what's up and tried to put our garden hose on it but it was an explosion. It just went."
The fire chief says the fire is still under investigation.
