Raleigh County Deputies are releasing very few details in regards to the incident at this time. However, it was confirmed in a press release Wednesday that the young girl has died as a result of injuries sustained nearly two days ago.
The investigation is ongoing, because, according to deputies, they have received conflicting information from eye witnesses. Evidence from the scene, however, indicates the incident was likely an accident.
The girl was reportedly playing with other children in Harper Heights when she was originally injured.
