Blue Jays beat Braves, 6-3 Video included

Rain came down at Bowen Field for the better part of an hour on Monday night. When play resumed, the Blue Jays used sharp pitching and timely hitting to overcome the Danville Braves, 6-3.

On Friday afternoon, members of the Blue Jays' organization gathered at Bowen Field to announce the extension of Bluefield's contract with Toronto. The parent organization and the Bluefield ball club will continue its partnership through, at least, the 2020 season.

On Monday afternoon, Bluefield Senior Little League softball took home the Virginia state title. The team clinched the championship with a 5-3, extra-innings win over Central Accomack.

Bluefield and Kingsport needed extra innings to decided Monday night's game. After scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays loaded the bases in the tenth, before winning on a walk-off walk.
